EIRSS 2009 – Module IV

Individual research (12 hours)

In this module, participants present their own research projects and receive feedback from summer school instructors and other participants. One day each week is set aside for discussion of individual research projects. These can be detailed prospectuses for MA or Ph.D theses/dissertations falling under the broad topic of EU-Russia relations or full-fledged research papers, article manuscripts, etc. The prospectuses/papers should be sufficiently developed (minimum length: 10 pages), detailing the objectives, research design, theoretical and methodological approach(es) informing the study, the cases selected for analysis, sources of data, etc. The participants are expected to submit their research projects or papers one month before the start of the summer school (by June 30th). All participants are expected to read all papers in advance to ensure effective discussion and feedback.
